Now that we are in full swing of the summer holidays, we need to find ways to quell the kiddos’ boredom — and more importantly, get them off their iPads. Summer camps are a great way to get them outdoor and staying active, but if your kids are not into camps or you’re on a limited budget, here are some of our favorite activities and finds below.
Find a nearby pickleball court ( or tennis court) and get the kids to try their hands at this super trendy and super easy-to-learn sport. Yes, it’s now an official sport! Many communities have free courts to play on, so just do a quick search to see where and what times they are available to book. If you have room on your driveway you could also set up your own “pop-up” pickleball court, or even get a game of badminton going Trust me, it will keep the kids active for at least a couple of hours. Just promise them some lemonade or freezies afterward.
